Bleeding gums..but I can't afford a dentist!?!

Question: Bleeding gums..but I can't afford a dentist!?
I don't have dental coverage and don't get paid for another two weeks - but for nearly a month now, there's one place in the back right side gums that bleeds for no reason. It starts bleeding more when I brush, but sometimes in the middle of the day it opens up.
I rinse with salt water a few times a day, but obviously that's not going to help.
What can a dentist do for this?
I went to a dentist when this happened last year when my gums got inflamed, and he said due to the wide gaps in my gums, food gets stuck in there and causes inflammation.
Until I can afford a dentist, what should I do and how can I stop the sporadic bleeding?

Answers:

regular brushing 3 times after meals

regular flossing 2 times a day

Gargle with salt and water 2 times a day

7 days after problem solved

I'm not a dentist, but I would suggest you don't brush the area hard, but do brush it softly to keep it clean. Also it might be worth using mouthwash if you don't already and ensuring you brush your teeth regularly to keep your mouth clean.

There's some advice at: www.oramd.com/bleeding-gums.htm

Get u a real good floss session, and brush your gums regularly as well to massage them. This will desensitize them and help.

Dental history

Call your dentist and see if he agrees to let you pay him later.

Do you floss everyday?
