I have a container I keep mine in. That or you can put it in a cabinet. Just dry it off as much as you can with a paper towel and put it away. I clean the container I have once a week.
And try to shut the toilet seat before you flush and see if you can get your household to do the same. Stuff with still fly out but it stops a lot of it.
The best place to keep your toothbrush is in a regular holder in the bedroom. Don't cover it, that just contributes to mold and bacteria growth. Put it on your dresser.
Steep it in Milton Solution or sterilser solution, keep it in a toothbrush container.
