What are the main cavity filling types and their advantages? Can you get the one that you want ?
Answers:
There are only usually 2, Amalgam which is silver containing mercury and the other is white composite which is nicer to the appearance of teeth. You can choose the one you want however white fillings are more expensive and don't last as long as they tend to leak as they are flexible. Amalgam fillings are stronger and last for 10-15 years , their appearance is not as nice but overall they are better i feel.
