My gum hurts?.............?!

Question: My gum hurts?.............?
Yesterday it felt like i ripped some skin off of the top of the gum on the top of my mouth, on the inner side. Today it feels more smooth but it hurts a lot more, I looked and I can't see anything wrong, it's just pink. What to do? It hurts when I eat and I can't eat on the other side. I guess brushing my teeth there would hurt as hell?

Hello
did you burn your gum with drinking hot liquid or injure it while brushing or eating? I quite often burn the bit of skin at the back of my two front teeth when eating hot food. You have probably done the same and the skin has peeled off leaving it red raw. Try and eat soft foods that are really easy to chew and avoid spicy and hot food. Things like ice cream and yogurt will be very soothing. Avoid acidic foods as they will cause irritation to the area. Do brush your teeth still 2 times a day and floss, but be careful around the sore area. Gargle with warm salt water 4 times a day as this will sooth the area and kill off any germs and bacteria and help it heal faster. Avoid fizzy drinks as they will sting the sore area. Drink plenty of water to keep your mouth clean.

Other things you can try are herbal tea, green tea as a soothing mouth rinse and you can also try medicated mouth rinses.

Hope that helps and your sore gum, mouth gets better soon

Gingival swelling from the symptoms, it will appear acute gingivitis, gum swelling and pain caused by the cause may have two: one is due to tooth decay, caused by acute pulpitis, red, swollen gums at the same time lead to Juteng; other Case is due to upper respiratory tract infection, swollen lymph nodes, can also cause gum swelling and pain caused by acute pulpitis.

if you burned your mouth at all theres a good chance your gum skin or w/e fell off and its sensitive. just brush through the pain lol and itll be fine in a day or two. it happens all the time to me when i eat hot food. you are fine!

Gargling with listerine may make it feel better or peroxide. The listerine may sting at first but its cleaning out all those germs that are open to the cut.
