Is it rude to listen to your ipod when at the dentists?!

Question: Is it rude to listen to your ipod when at the dentists?
Answers:

no it's not rude. i don't think a dentist wouldn't be okay with that especially since the sound makes you uncomfortable, but if you are that worried about it ask them if you think it's okay to listen to it, but i'm sure it won't be a problem.

Many dentists encourage patients to listen to MP3 music if that would relax them and help take their mind off of what is being done. Some offices even provide an iPod to their patients while having work done.

That is not rude at all. My dentist has earphones with music for us. But just ask because sometime they need to tell you things while they work.
