How can I make my good breath last longer?!

Question: How can I make my good breath last longer?
So I am pretty good about brushing my teeth. I brush about 2-3 times a day, and I also use mouthwash. I hate having a gross mouth. But I have noticed that sometimes, I can go like an hour after brushing my teeth and then all of a sudden, my breath smells kind of not very fresh. It grosses me out, and I won't talk to anyone until I get a piece of gum or something to take the smell away. I am really getting tired of this. Oh and I also brush my tongue, so it is not like I am leaving it all dirty and gross. I brush it really well.

does anyone know how to make my good breath last longer, and if you know why it might not be lasting very long?

also, i was wondering if anyone has tried the orabrush and it if makes your breath last a lot longer or not?

Answers:

I have used the orabrush before and it does help. I had the same problem but I recently started using this toothpaste and mouthwash called scope outlast and it really makes your mouth feel fresh longer, also try to keep your mouth moist by drinking lots of water throughout the day because a dry mouth always smell bad, and chew sugar free gum every once in a while.

Personal Experience

Now, I'm just shooting from the hip here-- but many have reason to believe that there is this great new invention called mint gum. Shocking, I know, but true. Some say this mint gum is offered in a variety of flavors, and dare I say it-- may be ustilized to freshen one's breath. Some varieties of this "gum", such as Orbit, are even certified by the American Dental association, or so I'm told, and leave you with a "Just brushed feeling. Maybe you should try some.

Just a guess

Don't eat/drink sugarry stuff, because that'll mess up the PH in your mouth(acidity levels) which is what causes the bad-breath bacteria to grow.

Real foods, and real drinks(non of that processed stuff), will keep your breath fresh for longer.

Just take a sip of water periodically, especially if you are doing a lot of talking.

Hello
do you floss your teeth as if you do not, your bad breath maybe caused by plaque and food caught in between your teeth where a tooth brush cannot reach. Flossing would make a huge difference. Also do you go and have regular dental check ups because if you have tooth decay that can give you bad breath. Certain foods can also make your breath worse. Spicy foods and garlic, onions, fish and booze can make it worse for sure. Gum disease may cause bad breath and if you are not flossing you may have the start of gum disease. Another reason maybe a sinus infection. Other causes are bad digestion and acid reflux.

So try and eat healthy, floss your teeth every day and cut down on foods that cause bad breath if you eat them. Chewing on suagr free gum is a good idea which you already do as it gets your saliva going which then fights off plaque . Avoid eating sugar which causes plaque to form. Try rinsing your mouth out with water now and again through out the day which will help the ph levels stay normal.

Hope this helps and good luck
