How long would metal braces take to close a gap in front teeth?!

Question: How long would metal braces take to close a gap in front teeth?
My gap size is a little over medium (at least to me). My gums come down in between it a little. Would the orthodontist have to surgically remove some of the gums to close it completely. Can braces close any size gap?

Answers:

Mine only took like a month and a half to close up. I have the same gum thing as you had, but mine was never removed. My orthodontist said it was fine. It does depend on the orthodontist, though.

i had a over bite, they have to put a thing thing my mouth and i had to turn a key in it every night, it made my teeth closer together and i had braces too, so yes.

The gap would close almost immediately, but in order for your teeth to stay there, the braces need to stay on for a long time (generally a year or two). An orthodontist can assess your specific situation.

Each case is different. Only your orthodontist can give you an estimate.

A few months? Ask your orthodontist for more info.
