Dry Socket possibility? Just got wisdom teeth removed.?!

Question: Dry Socket possibility? Just got wisdom teeth removed.?
And no doubt all my wisdom went a long with it :(
So after getting all four teeth removed, I went home and slept like a baby. Later that night, I think my body reacted poorly with the anesthesia and hydrocodone prescribed, I vomited quite a bit. After vomiting, I would rise my mouth -- not harshly, but rinse I did. Then I went onto drink carbonated mineral water and throughout that night, constantly spit blood out of my mouth.

It seems like I've done everything one is NOT suppose to do, for the sake of preventing dry socket.
I know, I know--I should have read more about post-op wisdom teeth removal.

So how great is the likelihood of my developing a dry socket somewhere? I've looked at the back of my teeth so far, and don't see any bone. Although one area is a little grey. The bleeding in my mouth has lessened, but my saliva is still tinged with blood.

Of course, if problems do arise, I will call my oral surgeon, but in general, do you think that I have a dry socket somewhere? Or ridiculously increased my chances of getting them, but not actually have them?

Thank you! Hope that made sense.

oh! as a reference, its only day 2 after my procedure, so there shouldn't be any noticeable pain yet right? I've also stop taking hydrocodone since the nausea it caused was just awful. I'm just taking IB profen now.

Answers:

You don't currently have dry socket. If you had dry socket you would know it as the pain would be excrutiating. Mainly you need to stay away from smoking and from drinking straws to avoid dry socket. Other than that, there is not much you can do to prevent it. It would usually develop in the first 96 hours.
