how bad does a cavity filling hurt?!

Question: How bad does a cavity filling hurt?
so, i have a tiny cavity, on the left side of my mouth, that i have to get filled, and on the right side, i had another cavity done yearrrss ago. and the filling fell out, so im going tomorrow, to get a new filling put in, and then on like the 28th, getting the cavity on the left side, done.

my question is: on the right side, what can i expect? how much pain? if any?

and for the left side, about the same.

its been yearrss since ive had one done, so i dont remember anything at all. and i had a bad experince at the dentist that scarred me for life when i was like 7 or 8 years old. and it was bad enough that the dentist that did it, lost his license, and can never be a dentist ever again..

so yeah.

thanks so much!

Answers:

They numb it so it doesn't hurt. It might hurt a little bit but if it does just put your hand up and they will numb it more. Plus they numb the gum before putting the needle in so you don't feel the needle as much. You will hear drill sounds and normal dental sounds but that's not that bad. I am scared of going to the dentist so I know how you feel. Hope this helped :)

Personal experience.

The dentist will inject numbing medicine into your gums so you won't feel anything. The most you will feel is pressure and may hear weird sounds going on. I would ask if you can play your mp3 player through the procedure.

HORRIBLY omg i regreted not shoving tooth brushes down my throat ever night after the dentist filled my cavities

lol
