Minor chipped tooth - what can be done?!

Question: Minor chipped tooth - what can be done?
I grind my teeth and have been doing it so well that I have successfully gnawed away 1 corner on both my right canine & first premolar. The damage isn't huge, I guess it's minor but I'd like to have it repaired - what are my options and any idea of cost?

I'm seeing my dentist in April and having my night guard fitted so I'll find out more then but any info now would be welcomed. Thanks

Answers:

The dentist can make a crown for it, its pretty simple, its just like getting a filling.

From memory its about $200 a tooth, but both of my top front teeth were snapped in half, and then a few years later they were shattered so there was only 1/4 of each left, so obviously mine were a lot more delicate and needed a lot more filler & care.

Your dentist should be able to put a filling right on that corner to repair it. Depending on your insurance, your dentist would have to tell you how much it will cost. A crown usually is not necessary for a small chip.

I had a small chip on thecorner of my front tooth and all my dentist had to do was grind it or file it so it didn't look chipped, not sure of cost it was while back shouldn't be much since no anesthesia or anythin was needed

Wal-mart sells a temp tooth filler I would use it untill you go to the dentist, no hole is alway better then having one
