Question about getting eight or more teeth pulled?!

Question: Question about getting eight or more teeth pulled?
Hi!I am thirteen and my teeth are rotted(i never cared when I was younger)So I am getting my four back 6 year molars and four front teeth out for sure. The oral surgeon counted more than eight anyway,I am getting an IV to be asleep when it happens,he will then be giving me a shot in my mouth to numb me.He said he will have to sew my gums back together(after teeth are pulled).Okay this is going to happen Tuesday March 22nd at 8:45 am and I am freaking out!My questions are:1.)Will the Iv hurt?,2.)Will I acually be asleep?,3.)Will I be able to feel anything,4.)Do stitches hurt?,5.)How long will it take to recover and 6.)Any advice?(Im sorry for the six questions but you dont have to answer all I am just scared)Thank you

Answers:

You wont feel anything when your under (yes the iv will put you to sleep, like when your having surgery on your body) the needle during the surgery is so that you wont feel pain straight away when you wake up. After you have woken up you wont feel pain because the needle will slowly wear off.

You will feel some pain but thats because of the stitches but heres the fun part. THe best pain killer for it is numbing, and how do you numb your mouth? Ice-cream, jelly, frozen drinks, iced drinks anything cold that you dont need to chew.

I've actually had about 8 teeth taken out not a once though I had 4 taken out and I was awake they just gave me numbing shots n went to pulling I didn't feel a thing but I could taste the blood the other 4 was a different time where they cut out out my 4 wisdome teeth that hadn't even grown out yet and they did give me a iv and put me too sleep so you really won't feel a thing and will wake up groggy and dizzy and will need someone to help hold you up while your walking and your face is going to be swollen for a few days n they do give some pain medication just in case but it isn't too bad so try not to freak too much its gonna be ok :-)

No one likes to go to the dentist(well. oral surgeon) so you're When they put the IV in there is a little discomfort. The med in your IV should put you to sleep. If it doesn't & your uncomfortable let them know.(If you can't talk raise your hand or finger) The stitches as it begins to heal can pull but, it's not that painful. I'm unsure if you are asking about the recovering from being put to sleep. You many be groggy for a 4-6 hrs. If, you were asking about the healing time that can depend..as everyone's condition is not the same. They will give you pain meds & possibly antibiotic. They following morning they will tell you how to start rinsing & do that faithully it will help it to heal also, will keep it clean to prevent an infection.
