Getting the braces put onto your teeth doesn't hurt at all. (Idk what getting teeth pulled is like though.) It feels weird though, so take water with you for after. For me they used a thing to absorb all my saliva, it feels fine, just a little odd but you get used to having stuff in your mouth really fast.
A couple hours after getting them, it will be achey. A dull sort of pain, I found it very manageable, just take pain killers as often as recommended a DEFINATELY try to plan to eat soft foods after. Soup is amazing, and soft white bread rolls with butter. Dont worry you WILL get used to them, I didn't think I would but I already have.
GET WAX! your ortho/ dentist will know what you are talking about, you will get cuts and ulcers in your mouth which are so annoying, covering the responsible piece of metal will cure them.
Are you getting train tracks? (The most common ones) I had twin blocks before them. Blocks are much MUCH more annoying. If you get them, don't eat/drink in them. It isn't physically possible. I think I was de-sensitised to the fixed (common) braces as the blocks were more painful (and gave headaches.)
As your jaw isn't actually being moved, it will barely hurt anywhere except the top of your teeth.
You CAN get invisible ones, but don't. Lots of people will start getting braces at your age and visible ones work much faster, better results and easier to be re-adjusted. I imagine that visible ones hurt less when you get then tightened.
Don't worry about it sweetie, it's a really dull, numb pain that's easy to manage. Just avoid hard, chewy foods. (And bright ones, as they can stain your teeth.)
Are you a girl? If you've had your first period pains, the achey-ness is similar, but braces were much better.
I'm sure you will be fine.
(Sorry it was so long.)

Twin block braces last year, fixed ones this year. Be happy you are getting them young, I'm 16! You'll have perfect teeth by that age. :)

Your teeth will hurt for a bit because the braces are moving your teeth into the correct spot ..as for them being transparent depends on what your parents get for you
As for the foods pretty much everything except a few items but the orthodontist will go over the foods you can and can not have
for the years it all depends on how long it will take for your teeth to straighten out could be 2 yrs maybe or even 4 it all depends

I wore braces when i was about 12- about 15

Yes, your mouth is going to be sore after getting braces placed. Your mouth will also be sore every time you go to the orthodontist to have them tightened, which is usually once a month. An hour or so before every orthodontist visit, take 800 mg of Ibuprophen which will help with the discomfort. Take it again about 8 hours after seeing the dentist. Don't worry, you'll be fine.

Everyone experience different pain cause each person has different pain tolerance.
for me, i didnt experience much pain just slightly some pressure. i can still eat like usual but using only my molar. i cant use other teeth because when i bite i did feel some pressure.

how many years you need to wear is always depends on how bad your teeth are and all are depends on your ortho. we cant decide that. but people wear normally 2 years. i need them for 2 years.

yes. you can get clear one. if you want really clear one, you can get damon braces. people wont actually notice you got braces. :) but colour braces look cool for me although im already 17. :)

you cant eat hard food like ice, nuts and thing that really hard. if you know that is something hard, just stay away from it. or else it will break your bracket and the longer time you need for your braces so you will wear braces for more longer time. so take good care of your braces.
avoid eating sticky thing like caramel, toffee, bubblegum and also popcorn. some people said they do eat them, but please dont eat them in case the rbacket or anything break, you just gonna make the process slower, waste your parent money if your ortho want you to pay for those broken bracket and also it will make your ortho pretty mad. lol
avoid sweety food such as carbonated drink and stuff. you can eat them but make sure you brush your teeth after you eat them.

other than all this food. you can eat actually almost everything. but dont worry, your ortho will give u a list on what to eat and what you shouldnt eat. :)

always brush your teeth after every meal because you need to keep your braces and teeth clean always. and also floss. if you follow all these instruction, you will be fine and can even shorter your time for wearing braces

if it hurt when you eat after getting braces, stick to soft food such as soft cakes, soup, jello and porridge.:D drink something really cold it will reduce the pain. if still pain you can take some tylenol. :D

Good Luck on your braces! :D

Have braces

Yes they will hurt ALOT! when I got braces they hurt for a week, and could not eat anythin but yogurt andd soup. They also give you cuts in the inside of your mouth so I reccommend dental wax. There are clear braces as well as about 10 other colours. Depending on how bad your teeth are you could wear them for 1-5 years. (I wore them for a year and a half).

absolutely, it's hard to eat cause your teeth really hurts. you can eat soft foods. and it's hard to clean. it makes your gums bleed. hurts your lips, etc. you can't sleep at night because it's really painful in the beginning. but after a while you get use to it then it's fine

It will hurt a bit but not much only hurts when u get them on for the first time or adjusted
A lot of people have braces now so no one will think that you're uncool for having them

Had braces

Ur orthodontist will tell u. It hurts the first couple days after I get them on and when u get them tightened or if u break a bracket/wire but other than that they don't really hurt

it will *possibly* be the worst pain of ur life. and they're really annoying
sry

i had braces
