When I rest my mouth, my teeth don't touch, is this normal?!

Question: When I rest my mouth, my teeth don't touch, is this normal?
Whenever I'm just resting orr doing whatever, and my mouth is closed and just in a resting position, my top teeth don't sit on my bottom teeth, it just kinda rests without touching... is this normal or do people go around with their teeth shut?

Answers:

This is perfectly normal and desired. If they touched, it would cause you to clench and that is a bad thing.

I dont think your teeth are meant to touch as they would rub against each other and cause your teeth to be ground down.

I think you need to talk with your dentis
