Are my teeth in awful state for a 14 year old?!

Question: Are my teeth in awful state for a 14 year old?
I went to the dentist for the first time in my life yesterday. 5 of my adult teeth have already fallen out and need the rest taken out except for 6 and 4 of them need root canals and the other two have multiple cavities and need crowns (will be getting dentures) oh and I have perodotic gum disease.

Answers:

Yes your teeth are in a very bad state for a 14 year old. But its excellent that you're seeing a dentist now and getting them sorted- you really need to start flossing/interdental brushing your teeth & use mouth wash too to get rid of the gum disease as gum disease is a leading cause of tooth loss and so if you don't get it under control you will loose more teeth (and possibly need to get more fillings done too- 40% of the teeths surface is inbetween the teeth and so its vital to floss etc to keep it clean). Aim to floss after every meal & mouth wash morning & night and you will see a significant improvememt with your gums in only weeks.

Its good that you visited them now, any longer and the problems could've been worse. Thankfully these can be treated, but yes your teeth are in a rather bad state, and you'll have to live with them for the rest of your life sadly.

Uh...yeah. You should go to the dentist every 6 months...so you should have gone 24 times already. Plus, you should brush them 3x a day now, floss them 2x, and use mouthwash...... Best of luck to you and your teeth(:

Yes,that's bad for any age. You need to start looking after yourself. If your diet is that bad, you are storing up all sorts of other health problems for the future.

Your very unlucky

Omg yes. They are in an awful state for anyone.
