widsom teeth extracted and a straw?!

Question: Widsom teeth extracted and a straw?
I got my four wisdom teeth taken out Monday. It is now Sunday. Can I drink from a straw? If not, how long should I wait? Thank you.

Answers:

you could use a straw for drinking.
however I would not do it since the vacuum created within your mouth to suck up the drink from the glass could also cause the coagulated blood tissue within the holes of your jaw (the areas the roots of the wisdom teeth has been) fell out.
This is nothing to worry about as well - it just will slow down the healing process since the coagulated blood the body uses to build up new bone and gum tissue is lost and has to be reproduced step by step to provide the base for new bone and gum tissue.

Update:
I would wait at least 2 or better 3 after tooth extractions before drinking with a straw.
