pain medicine for wisdom teeth?!

Question: Pain medicine for wisdom teeth?
i have to get mine out in like a few months, im 16, but like, number one, what kind of medicine will they give me? like xannx, or somethin? or nothing that powerful?

and, can those pills be crushed up? because i have an extreme fear of swallowing pills, because i almost choked to death on one when i was little, so i totally cant swallow them. so is there like, a liquid form, or can those be crushed that i can take?

thanks :)

Hi
I'm sure the dentist will prescribe some thing that you can swallow, perhaps ask the doctor for a shot, after the extractions so that you have some level of pain Relief, don't forget to apply an ice pack straight after the surgery, the first hour is important to reduce swelling.

Explain to your doctor you don't want pills...because they have liquid pain meds too. Depending on your age but most dentists will prescribe a few narcotic pain pills such as vicodin.

My oral surgeon gave me Tylenol after having an impacted wisdom tooth removed.
