When to floss....Before OR after flossing? I'm confused!?!

Question: When to floss....Before OR after flossing? I'm confused!?
Some dentists say to brush before flossing....Others say to floss BEFORE brushing...When exactly are you supposed to floss? And also, I know that once you get tooth decay it's irreversible, BUT is there ways that you can slow the progress of the decay? I mean I know once the cavity is there, than it's there. There is no way to fix it without dental treatment, but in the meantime, are there ways to stop it from progressing more? I floss twice a day, brush in the morning and at night, and use rinse both times. I do drink soda, and the rest of the time is water. I have like 9 cavities and I don't know why. I've always brushed and flossed...I got the snap-on smile recently, but was NOT told by the dentist who did it that I should have had the cavities fixed BEFORE doing my molds otherwise I would have done that, but now I can't do anything cause the molds have been taken and my smile is here and if I get the cavities filled, he said it would most likely change the structure of those teeth, thus cause the snap-on smile to NOT fit anymore....I'm REALLY pissed, but I don't want the snap on smile to go to waste for how much it costs, but I also want my cavities fixed...They do NOT hurt and are NOT sensitive, but still...

Hello
I always floss before brushing as it removes food and plaque from in between my teeth so when I then brush the tooth paste can get into the gaps in between my teeth. If I brushed and then flossed, the food that is stuck in my teeth and the plaque would stop the tooth paste going in between my teeth, hence why I always floss first. You can slow down tooth decay by cutting out sugar. Sugar turns into plaque which then rots your teeth. If you stop eating sugar the decay will slow right down. I use a mouth wash that can prevent tooth decay by 40%. It hardens your tooth enamel and helps teeth repair themselves. Colgate Fluorigard mouth wash. I use it last thing at night after flossing and brushing. Also eating a tooth kind diet will help loads with decay. Things such as milk and fresh veggies and fish and yogurt and meat and fruits are great for your teeth. Avoid acidic things that weaken your teeth such as fizzy drinks and oranges and fruit juices. They soften your enamel and then decay can break through easier. So cut out sugar and acidic things and drink plenty of water and eat tooth kind things and your decay will slow right down. And do not over brush as that can damage your teeth and gums( use a soft headed tooth brush for 2-3 minutes each time 2 times a day)

Hope that makes sense and good luck

my best guess is to floss before brushing. Think of it like this, if you have something between your teeth, and you brush, it isnt going to get that spot if there is a particle in the way. But if you floss and get the object away, the brush can get in between better and same as the toothpaste to clean away the bacteria. But that's just me.

my best guess is to floss before brushing.
