How can I help get my girlfriends jaw unlocked?!

Question: How can I help get my girlfriends jaw unlocked?
I've been dating this girl for a while and today she tells me that her jaw locks up sometimes. The last time it happened she said that she ended up working herself up so bad that she passed out and chipped her front tooth. She says that she always has a panic attack when it happens. I have a very calm voice and am good at keeping people calm because of my job. My question is though, besides keeping her calm, what are some techniques that may help get her jaw unlocked right then and there?

She knows she needs to go to a dentist to try and get it fixed. Money is just a little tight right now.

Example: I heard that pushing down on the jaw from inside your mouth touching your back teeth sometimes works.

Answers:

Sorry to hear about your girlfriends problem , it is most likely TMJ as you say. I also have this condition and for ten years I have been doing TMJ exercises and it has helped me a lot . You have probably already googled TMJ exercises and you may know of this site among many others

I hope someone who knows of a way to release locked jaw will answer your question so that I can also learn something . I have had my jaw momentarily lock but since doing these TMJ exercises is has not happened for a long time.
In the mean time she should practice yawning while keeping her lips together , it sounds odd but that is what I do.

Human beings physically can't actually lock their jaw shut. I think someone sounds a little dramatic.

Could be her muscle sometimes.
go to doctor and check.
relax her muscle.

is your girl a pitbull or a turtle?

normal ppl cant lock their jaw.
