Can you have a cavity WITH braces?!
Question: Can you have a cavity WITH braces?
Answers:
Yes you can still have cavities, unless your braces are like some automatic teeth cleaners. That black thing would most likely be a cavity or a forming cavity. Cavities form because the part of the teeth covering the nerves are being eaten up by bacteria and therefore makes a hole (hence cavity). It didn't hurt because most likely the nerves of your tooth are still covered. The numbing may be the result of your teeth moving. Cavities hurt when you touch the nerves. The way that doctors fix cavities are with the use of a paste. They would just cover your teeth with specially made paste. This doesn't hurt and there are no needles or whatever involved. That is unless your whole tooth became rotten then it would have to be removed, but in your situation it most likely seems to be a cavity that just started to form.
When the paste is being placed on your tooth then it may hurt for a few seconds if the nerves were touched but after that the pain would disappear. Dentists and orthodontists are both licensed to be able to fix cavities don't worry.
I had braces before and I had the same case with you
they would give you shots first and then laughing gas most likely. you should probably go to the orthodontist more often and maybe visit a dentist once in awhile to check your teeth, you're more likely to get cavities with braces since food gets stuck in your teeth more
.....Yes.
A cavity has nothing to do with braces.
The dentist would fix it.
Also try spacing your huge chunks of text out, puts people off reading it if you leave it like that.
Braces don't give you a magical ability to not have cavities
