Dentist is trying to make me get a root canal?!
Question: Dentist is trying to make me get a root canal?
It doesn't hurt, and it doesn't really bother me,
But the dentist keeps saying I need a root canal!
I dont want one, What should I do
Im going to the dentist today..

Go to another dentist for a second opinion.
If you don't trust the dentist , get a second opinion. Root canals are not as bad as you hear about. If the tooth is damaged as you say, it could need one. Sometimes the decay gets down into the live part of the tooth and kills the nerve so you don't know that there is a problem till the infection gets down into the bone because it doesn't hurt--- NOT GOOD. A root canal will get the infection out and save the tooth . Good luck with it.
well maybe you can get a temporary cap or something like that but eventually you'll have to get a root canal so all you will be doing is just delaying the inevitable!
