does antiseptic mouth wash slow periodontal disease down?!

Question: Does antiseptic mouth wash slow periodontal disease down?
okay i believe i may have the disease i have no idea how! or when i got it...

but im 100% sure that i have the disease, because 1 month ago i went up to the mirror and saw my gums receding just a little

i of course did not think much of it back then, but now 1 month later i tried shaking my bottom teeth
and 3 of them are a tiny bit loose

i know its going to get worse if i dont treat it but sadly my next dentist visit is in 2 months..

so i was wondering would Listerine anti septic mouth wash slow the process down?.

oh and if you're wondering what periodontal disease is, its the gum disease that results in tooth loss in most adults

it is very rare in young adults, in my position i have NO idea how i got the disease i always keep a good oral hygiene

it is the advanced stages of gingivitis.

gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease.

Dear, There are lot of things that progress to periodontal disease. Don't be scared about all that, as you say you maintain a good oral hygiene, keep it up. Also start using mouth rinse and some gum paint. regularly until you get your dentists appointment. What you will need would be a through Scaling & polishing of teeth. You had not mentioned that your gums bleed or not? if not then they might not be that bad what you are thinking. Stay calm and put your all efforts into your daily oral hygiene and extended gum care. Apply gum paint twice daily on the gums keep for 10-15 min, rinse off with normal water. Don't eat or drink for another 15 Min's. Get to dentist as soon as possible and everything will be fine. Take care

if you are very nevous make an appointment at the dentist, if not keep brushing, floss and use mouth wash throughout the day

Antiseptic mouthwash would kill bacteria in your mouth and reduce them to a lower level but not eradicate disease. It would help in reducing the amount of dental plaque.
Mouthwash does not penetrate the full depth of periodontal pockets so some bacteria would always remain.
Locally deposited antimicrobials do this, they penetrate the full depth of the pockets - you can get this treatment from a periodontist.

Gums recede with age by the way - so don't worry. If you brush too much/with too much force you can cause gingival recession too!

Physiologic mobility of health teeth is anything in the range of 0-0.2mm. You can see this with your eyes/feel it in your mouth - don't worry its normal.

Some periodontal diseases are genetically determined (e.g. Aggressive Periodontitis) - even if you have good oral hygiene you can still be predisposed to getting it. Just because you have periodontal disease does not mean you will lose your teeth. Visit your dentist or go and see a specialist - a periodontist and get an assessment and/or treatment if necessary.
