Is it normal to have throbbing 3 days after oral surgery? thanks!?!

Question: Is it normal to have throbbing 3 days after oral surgery? thanks!?
I'm feeling a little better now, but from time to time i feel the area throbbing. It doesn't really hurt, but it just feels like something is moving very slowly. I don't know if this is normal. I'm not taking the pain killers anymore. I just take one before I go to sleep.
Thank you!

Answers:

yeah its normal
it usually lasts about a week sometimes less
but any longer u should get it checked

same thing happened to me

A dry socket is very painful and causes throbbing. Contact the dentist who did your extraction. Go in so they can rule out this. It is not something we can fix at home. Three days is too long unless they were your wisdom teeth and bony impacted.
