braces/block braces to correct overbite?!

Question: Braces/block braces to correct overbite?
I can have block braces (which apparently make you stutter and spit at people :S) to make my overbite 2mm instead of 9mm(which is what it is now) or I can have train tracks with elastic bands which will only bring my overbite to 5mm.

Are overbites really that bad? What brace should I get? :S

Answers:

I had twin block braces for my overbite of 8mm, and within just 10 weeks it had reduced right down to 2mm, I was amazed at the difference in my mouth! I had almost no pain at all, unlike you would with train tracks, and the results were so much quicker. I was told to keep them in for eating, but I thought that was gross, so left them out. They are much easier, and although they do take a week or so of getting used to and having a bit of a lisp, they are fine after a while and you learn to speak properly in them. And about the spitting, when you first get them, you will produce loads of spit because your brain thinks it is food, so you have to keep swallowing, but after a week it will completely go.
Get twin block appliance, it is so much faster and painless!

Had twin blocks.
