Wisdom tooth removal and sucking.?!

Question: Wisdom tooth removal and sucking.?
I had 2 of 4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday. I think I finally may have stopped the bleeding at last. My question is about swallowing saliva. I am aware that I am not supposed to suck on things in case I suck the clot out. I am wondering if that includes swallowing. When I swallow saliva, I generally have to suck it to the center of my mouth and then swallow. I know I shouldn't spit either. Does this qualify as sucking and should I just drool and wipe my chin, or can I do this.

Answers:

I think you can manage to swallow without dislodging the clot. Just swallow slowly and open your lips when you swallow as this will prevent any vacuum in your mouth.
