Question: I have had a tooth ache in upper tooth for 3 days.......?
It is black and blue on the gums above the tooth. It hurts when i chew on it. I have had sinus pain in that area of my gums many times before-2-3 times a year-tho it never hurt like this. The pain has been rather sharp at times and hurts alot if i chew on it. My guess is the chronic sinusitis i get may have weakened and now cracked the root from infection----what do you think ? I'm seeing a dentist tomorrow and trying to get ideas of what to expect--thx.

It might be an abscess, but its hard to say with out seeing you, sinus probs are painful and you get referred pain, they will probably take an xray and that will tell, and they will either treat the tooth with root canal or give you some antibiotics for the sinus problems. Good Luck
Oh that does not sound fun. You made the right choice in seeing a dentists because all of those symptoms are reason to come in. I can't say exactly what it is,but it could need a root canal,or a big filling.
