Wisdom teeth at age 20?!

Question: Wisdom teeth at age 20?
I'll be 20 this April 16th, and I have been told I am one of the few who wouldn't have wisdom teeth (or something like that). Well I noticed an odd bump on my gums about 3 days ago, and just today I decided to see what it is.

I am growing a tooth. O_O

It's only in my top left part of my mouth, too, not in all corners. I'm very confused. Is this normal or should I go to the dentist and get it checked out.

Thanks for all help in advance!

Answers:

It's normal at your age.
The wisdom teeth arrive about the time that WISDOM is supposed to arrive, although I've found that such is not always the case.

Many people have problems with their wisdom teeth and must have them removed.
It's not fun, but you can get through it.
Everyone does.

You'll eventually get all four teeth, but they may crowd against the ones already there.
See a dentist.

It is possible that you just won't be growing ALL 4 of your wisdom teeth. If you aren't in any pain I wouldn't say rush to the dentist, they can take a look at your next cleaning. Then when they do your x-rays they will be able to tell you if you should be expecting more than 1.

Go get checked and it's okay, I got my 12 year old molers at 16

wonder if the bump is @ the end of the row.. it might grow.. or stop.. or not even grow.. it depends.. but painful...

of course you need to consult a doctor
