Is there anyone here 18+ who has never gotten their wisdom teeth taken out?!

Question: Is there anyone here 18+ who has never gotten their wisdom teeth taken out?
I just turned 18 last month and I don't want them to be taken out if I get them.

Answers:

There are a lot of people out that don't have to have their wisdom teeth out. The main reason they are extracted is because a person doesn't have enough room for them or they are not coming in straight, especially on the bottom because of the curve of the jaw. If they are sideways they can damage the tooth in front of them. They are hard for most people to keep clean so far back so they become decayed. If you have plenty of room you might not need them out. Since everyone is different, a dentist will have to tell you. The younger you are, the easier it is and you'll save yourself problems in the future. It's not as bad as you may be imagining. If you go to an oral surgeon and have general anesthesia, you feel like as soon as you go to sleep you wake up and it's over.

I'm a RDA

I'm 23 and they've been growing for a couple of months and hurt like hell. One is vertically impacted, and the other one is more messed up. I haven't gotten them taken out because I live away from my family currently, so I don't have insurance for a procedure. Now, they don't hurt, I hope I didn't kill the nerves by letting the new teeth pinch them to death. But as soon as I finish college, I'll go back to my family and have them removed.

My husband hasn't had his out and he is 36. I dont even think they're fully grown in yet.
