Mouthwash and swollen gums?!

Question: Mouthwash and swollen gums?
does mouthwash (listerine) really swell your gums? will my dentist think im not brushing if so?

Answers:

It shouldn't affect the size of your gums, no. However, if you find your gums bleed when you brush them, a good general tip is actually to brush them more! If they bleed it means that a build up of bacteria has caused the body to send blood to the area, if you brush your gums really well and use mouth wash, they should stop bleeding and will not swell, etc.

Hi
No listerine won't make them swell, you sound like you have gingivitis, start rinsing with warm salty water, and warm your toothbrush under the hot water tap(not too hot) gently start massaging your Gums, small gentle movements and keep rinsing, its a start until you see the dentist.
