Woke up and teeth hurt?!
Question: Woke up and teeth hurt?
Answers:
It wouldnt be due to your toothpaste if you are experiencing a headache. It does seem as though you are grinding your teeth. When you grind away your enamel and expose dentin - you experience hypersensitivity. You also experience headaches becuase of the clenching over night. CVS or your local pharmacy sells mouthguards made for night-grinders. this should eliminate your pain. Good luck!

I am a dental assistant. It is impossible to diagnose without seeing you& of course a dr can only but anyway... I would suggest you stop using the crest vivid white. The whitenting agent can cause sensitivity. Switch to a sensitive tooth paste. As for why it's only on your left side? You told me it happened to multiple teeth and after you woke up could indicate you grind your teeth at night. You can buy an over the counter night guard, to see if that helps. If it isolates to one tooth or becomes worse or just doesn't get better-go to your dentist. As always regular check ups are ideal.

It's possible that you were grinding your teeth in your sleep? Or clenching your jaw subconsciously due to stress?
