Why has my tooth got a break in it?!
Question: Why has my tooth got a break in it?
On friday, i noticed that the front of one of my teeth felt strange, initially, as i couldn't see a mirror, i thought i had food stuck onto it and all day i way trying to dislodge the 'food' with my tounge. I eventually forgot about it as I went out for the night with some of my friends. When i got home I pulled back my cheek to have a look at this "piece of food" and i noticed that it was not food, i scratched it a little bit and some broke off (very easily), after this more broke off until it looked like the picture below.
Its not a hole in my tooth, i dont think, its more of a horizontal notch (if that makes any sense)
I am 15 and I brush my teeth well, twice everyday, i use mouthwash and occasionally floss, i also occasionally chew sugarfree gum... so my hygene is fine, this is also what my dentist has always said. I recently had a check up and he said everything was really good and that i am brushing well etc.
It is difficult for me to get to my dentist as he is a long way away, i am posting on here to find out what it is, why it is there and what can i do to resolve it without the dentist?
here is the best photo i could get...

Answers:
You will not be able to resolve this without seeing a dentist. Try to see a dentist before it becomes more complicated and more expensive to treat. You can see a dentist in any area as an emergency.
