Just got 2 teeth out for braces, how to stop the bleeding?!

Question: Just got 2 teeth out for braces, how to stop the bleeding?
and my whole mouth and even my nose is numb, what shall I do??

Answers:

Just leave it as it is and it should heal up on its own and stop bleeding, i had two of mine taken out the other day for the exact same reason and i got a dry socket. Make sure you bite down on the gauze you have been provided and DO NOT rinse your mouth out until 12 hrs later, after 12 hrs you can rinse with a saline solution to prevent infection. You need to make sure the blood clot that will protect the open wound forms otherwise you will have a dry socket which is very pain full and slows the whole healing process. Try not to spit alot as this will encourage the blood clot to fall out and don't drink out of a straw.
The numbness should wear off in a short while but it depends on the type of injection they gave you..mine lasted about 2 hours. Good luck :)

i suggest just leaving it alone, i've had my teeth taken out once it hurt alot and the numbing was really awkward, i remember my dentist telling me that the numbing will go away after a while; and it was true. It just seems to disappear without you even realising that it has. The bleeding is probably caused by the fact that it has been yanked right out from the roots, try dabbing it will damp tissue and rinsing your mouth with either salt and warm water or mouthwash.
Brush twice a day
goodluck

You would have been given a pack by the Dentist of instructions and small pads. Place the pads over your gums and bite hard for 10 minutes. Do not rinse until tomorrow. the numbness will wear off shortly.
