What can be done about a chipped front tooth?!

Question: What can be done about a chipped front tooth?
I'm going to the dentist in 8 days. Just wondered in the meantime. I was pushed and hit my face on a wall and chipped off a bit of my front tooth :(

Answers:

If the root is still in tact they will put a crown on it to fill the chipped part in. I broke my front two teeth out on a trampoline. One of mine is a crown and the other is a fake tooth. It really depends on how much of the tooth is chipped. I know it sucks but don't worry, the dentist will fix it for you. eat soups, jello, and pudding. There can be tiny fractures so be careful not to bite down on anything until you get it looked at.

i am sorry to say nothing can be done until then. it happened to my friend once and her parents made her still go to school. all she could do is talk with her hand over her mouth. once her tooth was fixed nobody even noticed and eventually i even forgot until i read your question today.

If you have the chipped part then no problem, your doctor can glue it back as if it was never brocken.
If you cant find that part then he will try to put an artifitial extention.

No worries you will have your nice smile back!

If it's just a small chip, they will probably just fix it with bonding. It doesn't even require a shot - it just 'bonds' to the tooth and looks natural.

If it's a pretty big chip, then they may have to crown the tooth.

they have a bonding material they use, it looks like real tooth, they put it on and shape it to your tooth, then hold a purple light to it so it hardens. I chipped mine and that is what they did for me.

There is nothing that can be done between now and seeing your dentist, when you do see him/her just ask them to file it down a bit so its level.

I had the same problem 10 months ago.

Dentist can build it up so you will never know it was chipped.
