What is a white spot on my tooth?!

Question: What is a white spot on my tooth?
There's a white 'spot' on one of my k9 teeth. It has been there for as long as I can remember. I take care of my teeth and brush and floss everyday, so what is it? Can it go away?

Answers:

It is a spot that is demineralized enamel. what you can do is get a product from a dental office that contains a prescription amount of fluoride to help remineralize those areas. There is a paste called MI PASTE that you can buy that you dab on your tooth and leave it there and after a few weeks it should start to disappear. Its kind of like lotion you put on your skin to make it softer. I have some areas because you can get that from having braces also so i brush my teeth before bed rub some of the paste on and then go to bed.
