Can a person with braces eat popsicles?!

Question: Can a person with braces eat popsicles?
I know that a person with braces can't chew ice, but can they eat a popsicle? It is much softer...

Answers:

Yes! I have braces and I've eaten everything but gum (and candy chewy like gum) and have never had a problem (yes that includes nuts, apples, carrots, chips (hell i ate those the first day I got braces) popcorn, corn on the cob, pizza, tacos, beef jerky, etc). You don't really need to follow their guidelines, I'm sure it's just for when you first get the braces on and your mouth aches. But I suppose it depends if your dentist will make you pay extra to put back on a bracket or something. Mine doesn't so I don't worry about it.

Also, I read something about keeping your treatment schedule on track but I've just had these braces for 7 months and while eating all these foods my teeth have come almost perfectly straight ahead of schedule so..

here's a list of what not to eat w/ braces:

Gum
Stick foods (caramels, carameled apples, toffee, Tootsie Rolls, Now & Laters, Sugar Daddies, Sugar Babies, Starbursts, Jolly Ranchers, Milk Duds)
Hard foods (nuts, apples [unless cooked or cut into small pieces], carrots [unless cooked or cut into small pieces], popcorn [hard kernels], ice, hard candy, corn on the cob, Doritos, jerky, hard bagels, pizza crusts, hard pretzels)

Yep! Popsicles should be just fine but ask your orthodontist if you have anymore questions

Ya those should be fine,I had braces for 5+ years and I never broke anything,I pretty much did anything I wanted,I was just careful with stuff like that! So Just be careful with it and you`ll be good :)

YES, ENJOY!
