Do you have to get your wisdom teeth out for braces?!

Question: Do you have to get your wisdom teeth out for braces?
Answers:

Depends on if they are impacted and affecting the 2nd molars. If they are they could cause disease, which in that cause, you would have to have them removed. Generally, braces are placed on between the ages of like 11 and 15. Depending on the case, that is. The 3rd molars do not grow in until early twenties. Your best bet is to ask the dentist when you next go in for a visit. They will take some radiographs (xrays) and will be able to better assess you. Some people don't need their wisdom teeth taken out, some do. Hope that helps!
