Will a retainer close the small gap in between my front teeth?!

Question: Will a retainer close the small gap in between my front teeth?
I have a very small gap in between my front teeth but i really don't want to have to get braces so im think i could maybe get a retainer. Is this Possible? Will it work?http://www.simplybeautifulsmiles.com.au/…

Answers:

Not necessarily, all a retainer does is maintain the current position of your teeth. If you want the gap gone, you may have to get braces, sorry. Invisaline would probably be ideal in your case

No, a retainer will not help at all. It is only used to retain the shape of your teeth, and is only used when someone gets their braces off so that their teeth do not shift back into their original places. You will need to get braces first, to close the gap or you could get invisalign. They look like retainers, but are designed to move your teeth.

To get a retainer you'll need to get braces. But you could try out invisalign, which is like a retainer but very expensive and may not work.
