Question: I play a lot of golf with geriatrics,on every hole one or the other is pissing in the bushes and god knows what else !!at the end of play they take their hats off and offer their hand shake,yuck and yuck .Got any ideas !!?

Play golf with women, this would be a more hygienic option for you. As some men do this without thinking. Don't worry though the thought police will soon be on the case and small hand wash basins will soon be widely available at all Golf courses as well as bidets for the less SHY amongst you!!

Say very loudly 'I'm not shaking your unclean hand, I just saw you urinating in the bushes'. They'll understand and it's not as if they can argue!

in the meantime carry a package of baby wipes (wet, disinfectant) and wash your hands (discreetly)
Buy them some sanitary hand-wipes and ask them to use it. They'll get the hint.

My opinion is that it would be rude not to shake their hand and probably too socially awkward to be confrontational and give the reason.
What I would do is carry something like 'wet wipes' and clean my hands straight afterwards, but subtly and without them noticing.
play with people your own age - or get a bird !
Always carry a packet of baby wipes with you, so that you can wash your hands afterwards!!
You can also get little bottles of 'dry soap' gel you rub into your hands, it disinfects and cleans them and most supermarkets sell it in very little travel bottles!
I'd agree with David M, just steel yourself to shake (hands!) and quietly wipe your hands afterward.

take a small pack of wet wipes in your golf bag and after youve shaken hands and are walking away use one or two to wipe your own hands
Shake hands before the game and say, "better shake hands now before you go for a leak". Maybe they will understand.
