I'm allergic to metal, do you know what kind of earings I could wear..?!

Question: I asked my docter why my ears never healed after I got them pierced and he said its because I'm allergic to metal :(
Do you know what kind of earings I need to wear now? He didn't say..

I really want to wear earings and once I take the ones I have now out, they will close up right away!
Please helppp

Don't listen to ccharley...

Don't wear any type of earrings until you find out exactly what you are allergic to. Gold and Silver are TYPES OF METAL and if you wind up being allergic to one of those types your ear is a goner. You could ask the doctor to perform tests to find out exactly what type of metal you are allergic to.

And why is the fake biker sourcing bike sites in a medical question? Why does he even reference a tattoo?

edit:: I sense hostility from the biker, please don't call hells angels on me!Ccharley, you post false answers and try to act like something you are not. What education degree do you have ccharley and why does this degree make your opinions reputable? I had to endure COLLEGE level MEDICAL classes, I'm pretty sure my post has more creditability than yours.

I like how you changed your sources though, at least your post is almost on topic now...but none of those sources answer his question. You didn't even use any of the source material in your post...Did you just Google up earring and post the first 3 sites that you found?

edit2::
Ccharley, I took high school chemistry, I can understand words like atoms and protons. I also understand the concept of osmosis. If you actually knew what you were talking about, you would have simply stated the word osmosis. But I guess that is all we can expect from a plagiarizer.

Ccharley, you cited a WIKIPEDIA web page about electrolytes, two biker websites, two partial websites that lead to broken links, a site that tells us how to make plastic earrings, and a website about earring INFECTIONS, not allergies. Do you even read your sources? You failed to answer my question regarding your education degree. How about you stop trying to play doctor before you hurt somebody that is willing to take your advice.

Anyway, your post strengthens my argument about NOT wearing gold or silver like you suggested. If the original poster is allergic to a molecule that is found in either silver or gold, and that molecule is absorbed into the blood stream, then there will be an allergic reaction. Your best bet, like I said before, is to go to a doctor and try to pinpoint exactly what you are allergic to.

See Ccharley, I can formulate my own answers without plagiarizing works of others regarding unrelated matters. Like I said before, please stop trying to PLAY doctor, because if you continue and you talk to somebody gullible enough, they will severely hurt themselves.

And ccharley, please do not mock my profession when you won't even state yours. As a veterinarian I perform work on living creatures. They aren't just animals to me, I try to save lives. If you haven't noticed animals and humans are similar. You may have also noticed that both animals and humans have: organs, blood, skin, and are affected by diseases. You're a pretty smart, rebellious biker, I realize you MUST have known that. Because you are so smart, I will hope you realize that my answer will not cause further damage to the original poster, and will actually help him, unlike your answer.

Non metallic earrings, if you do not want to experiment. Pure gold, or a white gold mix, combination of pure metals. Platinum is good. Silver does tarnish, never use pewter or lead (LOL). You might want to go to another doctor! No CLAD OTAY! Stainless steel may help without a rejection. When you get a Tattoo, just think about the proper ingredients to bring out an everlasting work of art or a faded piece of workmanship, pure materials and no cheap stuff.. Also make sure you clean the area at least 3-4X a day if its new. Always clean an earring. I used basic rubbing alcohol, or Bacardi (LOL). Remove the earring and buy a real piece, not the one sold to you by the piercing place! Take care. Remove that earring NOW and soak Your lobe W/ rubbing Alcohol and / or peroxide. I'm 41, and my buddy put a singer needle through my lobe, when I was 10. I still got my ear..I still got the piece of white Gold..are you listening. There is also a non-metallic stud, very fragile, easy to break. I think the "VET" should pet his dog and stick with animals! Go with quality, spend the $.
Sorry "VET", secretions from perspiration, can possibly conduct an imbalance with the chemical content and levels of electrolytes within the anatomy of the human body. The flow of atoms can possibly be disrupted in an abnormal balance of protons and/or electrons.( Diet) some organic/ inorganic materials injested into the human body through chemical composures, could disrupt and cause rejection.
