What qualities should a person have to become a nurse??!
Question: well, beings as my parents are in and out of the hospital almost monthly, I've seen quite a few things in my day.
1.) not grossed out by stanky nasty things. This old guy in the bed next to my parents had diarrhea, and pooped himself every other 5 minutes, and that stuff was RANCID!!!!!!!!!!
2.) Not easily attached to patients: If one becomes seriously ill or something, you don't want to become depressed because you liked that person more than others or something.
3.) Ability to handle ANY SITUATION. and I do mean any, as you can imagine a lot of things come into hospitals and doctors offices.
4.) Patience. A lot of people are going to be scared and frustrated, and you have to have patience with them.
5.) Kindhearted. You have to be able to treat everyone with 110% at all times.

One other thing I notice with nurses I know and have worked with is you have to be able to detach yourself from the situation. I notice alot of nurses are cold . They sort of have to be just think if they let their real heart feelings enter into the sit. They wouldn't be able to do the jobs they do , do.
In my opinion two main qualities:
1. interest in medicine and science
2. caring and compassion for others and the willingness to
serve them in their most vulnerable time
