Why is your breath warm when you exhale slowly and cool when you blow?!

Question: Actually your breath is the same temperature either way. The effect of feeling cooler is because when you blow quickly, the heat on your skin is being removes more quickly and doesnt have as much time to sit near the surface. When you blow slowly, the heat from your breath has time to accumulate at the surface and the moisture in your breath can transfer more warmth to the skin surface.

When you blow, the air particles are moving at a higher speed than when you exhale slowly. Therefore, more heat will be dissipated, hence why it feels cooler.

When you blow air, it comes out much faster, so it is hitting the air.

When you breath it comes out slowly, and your mouth is warm, so it can pick up the heat.

It cools really fast. Try putting your hand right at your mouth, as clouse as you can get, you'll see it's still warm when you blow.
