Hot face when drinking alcohol?!
Question: Here lately I have been having a problem with my face feeling like a heater is in it every time I drink, I do not drink very often and when I do it's usually just a few beers but my eyes start to burn and my face is sooo hot I can't stand it. Anyone else have this problem or know what the problem is? I am by no means an alcoholic but would like to enjoy a few beers once in a while.

It's a common side effect of drinking...Alcohol is a vasodilator- meaning it causes your blood vessels to expand and allow more blood flow to areas of your body- which in turn causes flushing as you described. This can be dangerous in the winter because you feel like it's warming you up due to this added blood flow- but in reality, it's allowing more blood to come to the surface of your skin and cool off rapidly- often times leading to hypothermia.

I get that too!! to me it means the Buzz is kicken in! hehe because it does go away after abit! u feel hot even your face turns a bit red! Nothing to be worried about i wouldnt think!

my face gets face gets drunk when im hot
I am not a drinker at all. When I do have a sip of alcohol (any drink) my face turn blood red and feel so hot. I don't enjoy alcohol effects at all. I believe some people like me and you are allergic to alcohol and its fair to refuse drinking alcohol when offered.
To me this problem is an advantage!
