It's finals time and I have a cold. Do you have a remedy?!

Question: I really just need to repress the symptoms as much as I can as I try to study and take these exams. Any recommendations would be great.

[Things I've tried: Sudafed: Did nothing. ColdEeze: Very temporary relief. You can only take so many in day and it's not enough. Hot tea: Also very temporary. Airbone: Nothing.]

Unfortunately the only thing that will help you get over a cold is a lot of rest. I know that's not something you can do during finals week, believe me I do, but you're going to have to try and get a little bit at least.

Drink the tea before you go to a final so that you get a little bit of relief just before you begin testing, also use a coldeeze or something just before too so that the temorary relief kicks in at the right time. Take a bottle of water to class with you and plenty of tissues. It's going to be hard to fight through it, but unfortunately you don't have too much of a choice.

take a box of tissue with you to class

I'm thinking that a fine single malt will take care of those symptoms. Won't do much for your grades, but by the same token you won't care as much.

Sit in a steam room for awhile.

try soup.

Colds and flu affect most people at some point. Common colds are minor upper respiratory infections caused by hundreds of different viruses and are highly contagious. Influenza is one of the most common infectious viral diseases. The flu may be prevented in many people who receive the flu vaccine. Bird flu is caused by viruses that in rare cases may spread from birds to people.
