How do people get addicted to drugs?!
Question: i'm asking because everyone learns that drugs are bad so why do it. I know i won't take drugs because i am a goody 2 shoe but i am just asking

You can be mentally addicted, physically addicted, or both.
When you are mentally addicted, you do the drug because you feel that you are not normal, or you cannot act normal without it. For example, some people do drugs so that they can face going to school, work, etc. The drug helps them feel like they can deal with it.
When you are physically addicted, you have forced your body to accept a substance that is foreign to it naturally. For example, when you begin drinking alcohol, your body tries to reject it. It gets in your blood,and your kidneys and liver try to filter it out as fast as they can. When you have been drinking for a while, your body starts to accept the alcohol as part of its normal chemistry. That's why you need more and more alcohol to keep the feeling that it gives you. Your body is 'tolerating' it. When you suddenly stop drinking alcohol, the body goes into withdrawls, because you are depriving it of a substance it is used to.

i think they get addicted after they try it once and enjoy it. Better not to try and remain sober and smart ;)
by taking them.
They know its a bad thing but it feels soooo good and by the time they realoze the dangers its too late.
Once they try it they like how they feel and as time goes on they need more of the drug or stronger drugs to get the same feeling. It is like getting addicted to cigarettes. You like how you feel on them. Think of how you feel when you eat your FAVORITE food or drink. You wish you could have tons of it as you like it so much. Well this is the same with drugs, cigarettes and alcohol only those people are addicted and can't control it.
my brother is a heroin addict. he is addicted because the way it makes him feel. he says it makes him feel 'normal'. he started it because of our biological mother, which is a peice of crap sh~t head bi~ch wh~re. and because he trusted her for whatever reason he fell into peer presure and is now addicted. the real question is how do u get an addict to stop?
Just because you "know soemthing's bad" doesn't mean you wont try it anyway. You may not do drugs, but you've done SOMETHING you knew you weren't supposed to do.
Anyways, people prone to addiction become addicted to drugs once they do it and like it.
