What to do to get over being emotional eater?!

Question: Bestojos has the right idea but the wrong information.
The key is to take up a sport or anything to do (play a game, dance) whenever you feel emotional ready to eat do the activity instead. First you need to find out what is REAL hunger and when you are eating because you are upset and so on. You can also try and see a nutrionist. If you have the urge to eat make it a healthier choice.

when you find out please let me know

Take up smoking. If you do already then smoke more. Whenever you feel like eating, smoke instead. You'll lose lots of weight. Smoking rules!

First, find out what emotions make you eat and try to fix them. Then, unreal is right. Keep yourself busy, since a whole lot of emotional eating is from boredom. When you find yourself wanting to eat when you know you're not really hungry, get up and do something. Mop the kitchen. Rearrange your dresser drawers. Walk around the block. Anything to keep your mind occupied till the urge passes, which it usually will in about 45 minutes.

Is that really your picture? Depression can make one eat and eat esp sweets somehow to 'sweeten' the situation. So treatment lies in treating the emotional problem. You may send me the dreams you see to be analysed. Hope this helps. Bye.
