What happens if you hold in a poop too long?!

Question: eventually, it will come out your mouth and your nose. Hopefully by that time its in more of a liquid form.

Maryn Bittner do you read a lot when you're taking a poop?
Also do you know any good books on this subject?

You'll s h i t your pants!! LMAO!! Well seriously, you can get infections from holding back your bowels.. so if you have to go, just GO! Good luck.

You die...of systemic poisoning.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww it builds up till you cant hold it any more then comes ouuuuttttttt.........

Your colon continues to absorb the water in it until the poop becomes fairly hard, possibly too hard to leave via nature's natural exit without pain and even damage, from hemorrhoids (veins varicosed from pushing too hard and long) to anorectal abrasion or tearing.

Sound like fun? No. When your body says go, obey.

Holding in a bowel movement can cause distention of the bowel and possible divert and potentially things like diverticulosis in the future. It's also likely to result in irritable bowel syndrome and further constipation in the future.

It's not very clever, and when you end up with some of the above you'll wish you'd done the deed when your body wanted to, no matter how inconvenient it would have been.

First you get a big wet fart and then a blunder-bust full of the Brown stuff, followed by total embarrassment

one time i held one in for real long

then i got hit by a car

it sucked
