Can one get addicted to cough syrup ?!

Question: ok
my friend, she had this cough syrup with her.
she always drinks it, and when she drinks, its not like, you know when youre sick you pour the syrup onto a spoon ?

instead, she drinks it like you drink a water bottle.
and she doesnt cough, thats the weird part...

and the only drinks she drink is energy drinks, red bull etc

whats wrong with her ?
is she sick in ill, sick in mind or shes addicted to it ?

alot of cough syrups have the depressant Codeine in it. It's a drug in a way. I used to drink cough syrup straight just for the codeine because it made me feel good but it's bad for you.

why do your questions always get deleted?

You can absolutely form an addiction to cough syrup. Don't know why you'd want to, but yes, it's completely possible.

Yes Cough Syrups can be addicting. It is called self m,edication usually for unresolved mental issues.

depends on what century, back in the day it was laced with laudium, and alcheehall.
Then again, the effect of it being a downer, could be as well. I know when I want to sleep, I hit the nyquil train and ride that train, come on ride that train.

yeah you can get addicted to cough syrup just like anything else...i would tell her parents or gaurdians about it and confront her about it.

You sure can. Your friend is sick. Help her to get help. Have you been reading the uproar about over the counter meds lately?

Well she prob. just drinks it to get high from the DMX. If you drink enough DMX in the cough syrup, you can hallucinate. She probably seen that somewhere and nobody should ever try it, cause you can die.
