I have high pressure in my ears this week and I'm aparently not doing what I!

Question: For the past week during class I've feel really high pressure in my ears, like when you go into a plane really high and it's very random and sudden and hurts a lot right when it happens sharply but the clog feeling in the hearing lasts about 5-10 minutes. Yesterday I thought that the other class had turned music very loud and then down super fast but there was no music playing and I know I had jumped a little and said something like "oww" but no one took notice at all. And this morning I was sitting in class, very relaxed and suddenly I felt like I was drowning, water was going into my lungs when one of my piers said that they had choked a little on water in the hall. I snapped out of it instantly when I looked toward my friend. No one has noticed anything.

So I am wondering if something is wrong. I'm not thinking too much of it, but a close friend of mine told me to ask.
I have not been stressed at all this week but I have been the past couple months.

This sounds like ear barotrauma. The air pressure inside your ear is typically the same as outside. Swallowing or yawning opens the eustachian tube(connection between the middle ear and the back of the nose and upper throat) and allows air to flow into or out of the middle ear, equalizing the air pressure on both sides of the eardrum. If the eustachian tube is blocked, the air pressure in the middle ear is different than the pressure on the outside of the eardrum, causing barotrauma.
Some causes are flying(obviously), scuba diving, congested nose from allergies, colds, or upper respiratory infection. Also it could be your throat is just swollen.

To relieve ear pain or discomfort, first attempt to open the eustachian tube and relieve the pressure. Suck on candy, chew gum, or yawn. Or inhale, and then gently exhale while holding the nostrils closed and the mouth shut. If these methods do not work I recommend you see a doctor, as this condition can cause hearing loss. Hope this helps, feel free to email me if you have any further questions.
