She's breathing a bit too rapidly, but it's hard to say exactly why. The cold itself should not be sufficient cause. To really be able to give you a good answer on what the trouble is you would need to be able to listen to her chest and breathing, something you can't do on the web. No fever is a good sign, but that still doesn't mean she would have clear lungs. Your best bet is to take her to the pediatrician to have it checked out.

Take her to the doctor to be sure that she is alright.

Your daughter sounds like me when I was young.

I would take her to the doctor and rule out asthma or allergies...that's what I have (asthma). You don't run a fever with that.

I had pnemoinia *sp* when i was younger & showed the same signs. Have her checked out by a doctor to make sure she doesn't have liquid in her lungs, that could be laboring her breathing.

My guess is asthma. If you live in a cold part of the world, the air in winter can get very dry and it's irritating for the respiratory tract. On the other side of the air spectrum, humidity can also cause labored breathing.

If she has either a very bad headache or stiffness in her neck, you should go see a doctor immediately as it may be a sign of something more serious.
