When smoking: cold sweat, sick feeling?!

Question: this happened the other day too. i was outside at my break smoking with co-workers and i was standing up. (i noticed if i sit down it doesn't happen). i'm not sure if it was because i was nervous, which i wasn't or that i had my knees locked. (if i have my first cigarette of the day standing up and one or more of my knees is locked i feel sick to my stomach and i get extremely lightheaded). i was standing without locking my knees and i still felt these sensations:

slight tingling on the top of my head
kind of a dizziness but more of a sick feeling
cold sweat

usually when i get back to my desk i'll sit there and take a couple deep breaths and just sit. today i was thinking i'm diabetic or something and it has something to do with that so i popped a few caramel hershey's kisses to regulate my sugar and see if that's what might have caused it. (grasping at straws here). i didn't notice any change.

do you know what's wrong with me?

The chemicals of the cigarettes may be robbing your body of the oxygen when you are standing making you feel sick and breaking out in a cold sweat. It could have that effect on you while your are standing, and just not noticable when sitting.

It's a so sick feeling I don't like it but i got nothing to do

Its nicotine rush, its because its the first cigarette of the day, everyone gets the lightheaded feeling, sick, etc. Its just because the nicotine is going into your body again after a night without any.

ummmmm..... stop smoking? duh.

It happens after a smoke. Nothing really to do but sit down and drink some water. It really sucks it it happens after you've just ate. Not sure exactly what happens, but our body just has a bad reaction to the smoke at that moment and you have to wait it out.

Sounds like you got to much nicotine in your system. Its happened to me before I smoke to much or first thing in the morning. And I have all the same symptons. I just kinda have to chill out a bit and let it pass. Its so much fun to be a smoker. LOL

If you find smoking so unpleasant - how about quitting? If your body is telling you it doesnt like what you are doing by making you feel sick, you should listen. ALSO...if you ever feel like your sugar is low, drink some juice or eat fruit or raisins, not candy, because the sugars are better for you and metabolize faster.

YOU ARE ALGERIC TO CIGS!!

If you go to the doctor and tell them whats wrong I'm sure they can find out whats wrong with you. but I was having the same problem but a little worst because I would actually pass out for God knows how long and I couldnt breathe and I would feel like I had to throw up...So I went to the doc and she said that I was algeric.
I could be wrong..but just go to the doctor to make sure you're all right

Stop smoking.. it's damaging your body clearly.

Too much nicotine. Perhaps you are taking faster drags, holding the smoke in your lungs for 10 seconds versus 5 seconds. Even after smoking for years, this still occurs with me on occasion if I smoke it too fast.

It's colder outside, so many people smoke quickly instead of leisurely.
