Question: A primary health care clinic to close early for a Holiday Party?
Honestly... I am quite sick of this place anyway....long waiting room waits, not a lot of attention, long waits on the phone...and now this just happened...
I called yesterday to talk to them about my thyroid levels being high ( I am pregnant and my OBGYN runs tests every so often to check my thyroid.) They said the nurse practicioner I see would call me back.....no call.
So I call today and "she was busy all day yeserday and wil be today" and will call me today. By 3 PM, I call them AND they closed early. So now i'm really mad. I finally get a call at 4:30 from the N.P. I guess she wanted to talk to a collegue about it but wouldn't be seing him until the holiday party (which is why they closed early.)
Would you be mad about that? For me I think this is just the push I need to find a new primary care doctor..because that's just ridiculous to have to wait a day and a half for a call back on a med increase.

Medical is getting worse and worse everywhere..I was covered under the state for while I was pregnant..and when I almost lost my life to eclampsia..and went to my primary care DR which I was sent to by everyonelse..my Ob etc..for blood pressure and baby...because she was supposedly a "family primary care" so she could also see my other two sons..for care..come to find out when they took my bp..I at that time was 196/100 she wanted to get rid of me by saying"I dont want you to die here.." and you could tell she was trying to get rid of me and my week old son..and the other thing she said throughout the whole apt..was: "I HAVE A LOW THRESHOLD FOR PREMATURE BABIES, I HAVE A LOW THRESHOLD FOR HIGH BLOOD..PRESSURE...PLEASE LEAVE SO YOU DONT DIE IN MY OFFICE''..I was appauled..and instantly when I was well enough reported her instantly..Her case is still pending..Alot of care you receive you just have to be selective..See the Dr you have and nurse practicioner you have are just out obviously for the MONEY GOD..and Partyin ...And dont Want to be interrupted by any of their patients that have needs that need to be met..They dont want to be BOTHERED to do EXTRA..work...THey want THEir MOney and They want It fast w/o the Extra Work and Hassle and to me theyre CALLING YOU THAT!!! NOT GOOD AT ALL!!! So I suggest that you switch as well...Take care and CONGRATS!!! Just Go shoppin....Find somethin better...Someone whom will Treat You w/ Respect..No Matter what time it is.. or if Theyre Inconvienced.It their Job to Take Care of you and Your Baby...See alot of EM dont care at all about the person these days..You ve got to find one thats few and rare..I Pray that you do...GOD Bless You and your Baby..;)

I totally agree. This is not only about your health, it affects the health of your baby. Good riddance to them.
Yeah I would have to say that is very unacceptable. If they want to have a Holiday party they need to have it on the weekend at night. Not during the normal operating hours of a health care facility. I would defiantly express my concern to them about all of the issues you have with them and find a new doctor.
I'd find a new clinic immediately. I don't put up with **** from doctors. If they're not taking care of me the way I need to be taken care of (being reasonable, i mean, of course,) then why should I sit back and just let everything slide? My doctors weren't helping me with anything and doing the same thing your doctors are doing, so I found a new clinic. Forget them and go to a new place. If it's not an emergency, you shouldn't have to go to the hospital and have to pay the high cost to go there when you really don't need to. It's not fair to you.
yes because they could have had it on friday or something like that. but what it is is that they don't care what happens to you on the holidays right now all they care about is haveing fun at that party.can you tell me who your doctor is so i will never go to they.
